This brochure, available in French or English, provides information about the

• breadth and scope of peer helping;
• benefits of peer helping for youth, communities, and organizations;
• seven standards of effective peer programs;
• skills peer helpers typically learn;
• ten helping roles peers can perform;
• four roles peer helpers should not be asked to take on;
• local and national resources on peer helping.

One of the unique features of the brochure is a blank space for peer program leaders to place their own contact information thus personalizing the brochure for local use.
