The Peer Assistance Starter Kit (3rd Edition)
This completely revised and updated training manual, written by Rey Carr and Greg Saunders, is ideal for teen and adult peer training programs that want to build skill-based, memorable, and sustainable peer programs. This work contains step-by-step lesson plans and activities for 36-48 hours of training of peers to work in peer programs. It also includes information about building and sustaining a variety of successful peer programs and references to the latest resources and research to support peer work. This is Canada's most widely-used peer training manual and is suitable for school, university, community, non-profit, and business-based peer assistance programs and services.

The Mentor Program Development Resource Kit
Written by David de Rosenroll, Greg Saunders and Rey Carr. Theory, practical tips and training workshop activities for mentor programs. This work comes as a package suitable to be placed in a three-ring binder and is divided into three sections: the rationale for community-based mentoring and the need for mentors to work with students in schools; the second section is a self-guided tour of the essential components of successful mentoring programs with specific examples, forms and documents; and the third section is a step-by-step training guide for mentors, their partners, and mentors and partners together.

Kids Helping Kids: (2nd Edition) A Peer Helper/Peer Mediator Training Manual
A completely revised peer program manual that teachers and counsellors of elementary and middle school students can use to train peer helpers and peer mediators. This manual contains training activities, sample forms and letters, and information essential to peer program success and includes a section on how peer helpers can assist their friends with personal planning and goal setting. Written by Dr. Trevor Cole.

Kids Helping Kids: A Student Manual and Workbook

Training Certificates
These certificates are designed to provide recognition for peer helpers involved in peer helping programs. Printed on parchment paper, these certificates can be custom printed to include the name of the peer helper as well as other specific information regarding organization, issue date, and signatories.

Peer Helping Guide for a Native Community
Ron Jorgenson describes how to implement peer programs in First Nation communities, using Aboriginal customs and traditions as part of the training program. This work includes additional articles written by other authors on native programs.

Someone To Talk To (Video, VHS FORMAT)
This excellent video was produced by the National Film Board of Canada. It follows the training and delivery of peer helping services in two Ottawa-area high schools.
